By default the enable password is disabled. Enable password is used to enter privileged EXEC mode. This password is very necessary to secure the OLT because in Privileged EXEC mode anyone can access Global Configuration mode. To set an enable password, use the following command.
Switch_config#aaa authentication enable default enable
Switch_config#enable password lyon7
To view the username and password, show the configuration that is running using the following command.

username admin password 0 admin

enable password 0 lyon7 level 15
The password in the configuration file is plain text and not encrypted, so anyone who has entered priveleged mode can read the password we used. To encrypt the password use the following command.
